A Democratic trifecta. An historic Administration headed by a President who’s still mostly a mystery. An angry Congress and angry constituents. And an economy just this side of moribund. Not exactly the best odds for banking, going into what one expert calls the most important period for the industry since the 1930s. Some hits must be expected, some may  be ducked, and maybe, just maybe, some opportunities can be found amid the turmoil.
