Teller receipt and validation printer—the IJ7100 and the IJ7200— released by Addmaster and are first two models from new product series.
Addmaster Unveils Two New Printers
Monrovia, Calif., Nov. 18, 2008 – Addmaster Corporation, a longstanding supplier of specialized peripheral devices for the banking industry and leading manufacturer of teller receipt and validation printers for some of the nation’s most prominent financial institutions, announced two new teller receipt printers—the IJ7100 and the IJ7200.
The printers, which are the first released models of Addmaster’s new IJ7000 series product line, feature the following improvements over Addmaster’s earlier IJ6080 models:
•Ergonomic improvements that enable simplified roll paper loading and improved form insertion
•Standard USB 2.0 and RS232 ports
•Smaller footprints
•Integrated state-of-the-art microprocessor components for increased reliability
•Standard “see-through” tear bar or optional metal tear bar
•Wider variety of fonts and print formats
Both the IJ7100 and IJ7200 offer users the ability to choose between two inkjet cartridges for their receipt printing needs. The IJ7100 model uses the HP 6602a, the same cartridge that Addmaster developed into the industry standard with its best-selling IJ6080 printers. The IJ7200 model uses the company’s proprietary Addmaster 97091 cartridge that operates at speeds up to 15 lines per second with resolutions up to 600 DPI.
Not only are both models plug compatible with the Addmaster IJ2040, IJ3160 and IJ6080 printers, they host a variety of customizable features that enable them to easily replace different printer brands or integrate into existing systems.
“The release of the IJ7100 and IJ7200 demonstrates how Addmaster strives to meet the changing demands of our customers while raising the bar for receipt quality at the teller window,” said Hugh Clary, vice president of Addmaster. “The higher resolution of the IJ7200 model makes it an outstanding choice for banks that image teller documents in subsequent processing, and are concerned with achieving the highest image recognition rates. The IJ7100 model is ideal for existing customers who wish to upgrade their printers while using the same cartridge.”
The modular design of the IJ7000 series permits three different paper roll options: covered roll, uncovered roll, or a form rack that does not require a paper roll to be used.
“We know that real estate at the teller counter is at a premium, and that is why we have always strived to make our printers the smallest on the market,” said Clary. “We came up with the IJ7000 series’ unique modular design because our research has shown that approximately 25 percent of our customers do not even use the roll receipt. We designed it so that customers can elect to leave this module out – shrinking the printer’s size even further.”
Addmaster currently has more than 250,000 peripheral devices installed in U.S. banks.
