Web-based closing process in virtual meeting room by ServiceLink simplifies loan making.
ServiceLink technology improves total experience
Pittsburgh, July 14, 2008 – ServiceLink, a leading provider of origination and default services and the national mortgage services platform of Fidelity National Financial (NYSE:FNF), has received solid reviews from borrowers and lenders for its iClose web-based closing product. iClose is a secure and convenient method for borrowers to close their loans in an online virtual meeting room. They schedule a date and time that is convenient, and a ServiceLink closing agent guides them through their paperwork, using an online interface just as if they were face-to-face.
“Our customers that choose iClose are very satisfied with the process,” said Mark Luedtke, head of Midwest Lending Operations for ING Direct. “iClose definitely supports our values of innovation and simplicity. “
“This is the smoothest transaction I’ve ever done,” said Ted Buzbee of Olympia, WA, who, with his wife Linda, recently took advantage of an electronic closing with iClose. “If I ever have to close a loan again, I won’t do it unless I can have iClose.”
Recent enhancements to the product, like the ability to have third parties at different locations participate in the closing, have increased customer satisfaction.
“More people should go with this,” said Maria Gonzalez of Chicago who recently enjoyed an iClose electronic closing.
“It was quick and easy with the person right there on the screen with me. I tell everybody they should use this.”
iClose requires a borrower to sign only one document, a Limited Power of Attorney that is notarized and returned to ServiceLink at no cost to the borrower. The rest of the process is entirely online and the entire transaction and phone conversation is recorded and archived to ensure the security and authentication of the transaction. A secure server and security protocol are used to safeguard information provided by borrowers during registration, authentication and the closing process.
ServiceLink has made a number of customer-interface improvements to benefit the Borrower, according to Kevin Gugenheim, executive vice president and chief strategy officer. “With iClose, not only can borrowers have their closing anytime, anywhere, but our research says they appreciate someone helping them understand their loan documents.”
iClose is currently being used by select lenders nationwide. For more information, visit the ServiceLink website at www.servicelink.iclosefnf.com .
