			<title>Never without access</title>
			<link>http://www.ababj.com/briefing/ipads-catch-on-with-bankers.html#pc_572</link>
<description>I have been a Mac geek for a while, as I live in the marketing world. I am also a banker and live in the bank world of limited access within bank networks. As a marketer, I follow many blogs, tweets, and posts all from my great friend, the iPad. This valuable tool has given me freedom to go forth, and research and read posts without being blocked.

I chose the 3G version to be sure I would always be connected (Did I mention I was an info geek?) Days after my new tablet arrived, I attended a banking conference and used the notepad function for all my notes for the conference. Not only could I read what I wrote (and it corrected my spelling!), but I simply pressed a little icon and all notes were emailed to me. I never leave home without it.

Last year my geek purchase was the FlipVideo (which, by the way, is also a must) and 2010 is my year of the iPad. I may never purchase another book as long as I can find it in one of the readers.

			<title>Invaluable Business Tool For Me</title>
			<link>http://www.ababj.com/briefing/ipads-catch-on-with-bankers.html#pc_570</link>
<description>I wasn't sure how much I would use my iPad for work, but it has proved to be invaluable on several fronts. It is a much smaller computing device than my work computer to take to meetings and on the road and is quite good for taking notes. I use it to read PDF reports, research studies and to easily review creative mock-ups for our direct mail programs. The iPad is much better than my computer to read larger reports and it doesn't kill any trees.

Probably the most used tools for me have been the Blogshelf tool where I track a significant number of industry Blogs and Tweetdeck where I track around 60 different industry insiders and publications (like yours) twice to three times a day. Since Twitter andBlogs can't be accessed via my work computer, I have the iPad on continuously keeping track of industry developments from these sources.

Finally, I use the scheduling tool to keep my daily to do's and have several online publications downloaded monthly to read where and when I want.

Not being an Apple computer user, I was amazed how quickly I found more uses for the iPad than I ever thought I would. It quickly went beyond just being cool.

The only challenge was when I inadvertently touched the screen to my business computer expecting something to happen.
