<description>I just started following @Arvestbank on Twitter - The correct URL is http://twitter.com/Arvestbank and I am impressed with their content so far. I just finished reading all 146 tweets from the first one from April 2, 2009 - http://twitter.com/ArvestBank/status/1443176012 to July 7. There was no direct selling of products which I think is good. The selling they have done around e-statements and bill pay were wrapped around positives for the customer and or environment. I liked how they communicated to the first time home buyers and the fact that they directly asked the tweet reader to pass the message along.

Always good to see is all the community support and spending they do.

There are a two things I did not like that I will share here. In my opinion, the most offensive action @ArvestBank did was award $50 to a random Twitter follower after they randomly awarded $100 to a Facebook follower (ok so a am kidding around a bit here but the amounts should have been the same). The other item is if you thank people for following or award a follower you should follow them too. @ArvestBank is following no one. If you have a policy of not following customers, that is ok but make sure you clearly state that fact. You should follow all the local news and not for profit entities that are on twitter. Also, any good financial source of information for your business and consumer customers should also be followed.

Bottoming lining it http://twitter.com/ArvestBank gets Twitter! Good job Arvest Bank and good job Jason Kincy, you get customer engagement.
