I started as a switchboard operator and now manage the Audit Dept for a $500 million community bank. I have had just a handful (if that) of positive female role models in my career and would like to see more women doing just that. I agree with the article in that often women are harder or less encouraging on other women and perhaps it is a territorial thing.
