In today’s high-tech environment, passwords can be hacked in seconds and sensitive data can be copied from computers without ever leaving a trace. One of the easiest ways to protect the information on a hard drive is to restrict physical access to the laptop when it is not in one’s possession. From nosey coworkers to housekeeping staff at hotels, one can never be sure who wants to access what is on your computer.

To solve this growing problem, Rifkin offers two security products that when used together create a safe haven. The company’s self-adhesive Arco-ID security labels can be applied to a closed laptop or placed over access ports and removable drives. If any attempt is made to open the laptop or remove the label, a VOID message appears—indicating a breach in security. If no tampering is noticed, the seal can be removed without leaving any residue.

An additional layer of protection is provided by Rifkin’s Executive Attaché with a built-in, high-security lock. Measuring 13” x 18” x 6”, this security bag fits most laptops and includes additional pockets and compartments to carry documents and personal items. The interior of the bag also has a padded, brushed-foam liner to guard electronics from bumps and scratches.
