Desktop processor handles cash and checks E-mail

New to Cummins-Allison's JetScan iFX portfolio is the JetScan iFX i200 two-pocket unit with check processing functionality. The JetScan iFX i200 now can process checks and deposit related documents at 400 items per minute, all on the same machine that financial institutions already use to process currency at 1,200 notes per minute.

The JetScan iFX i200 is the only single device that processes both media, plus it's the fastest desktop check processor and currency processor with 200% faster check processing and 20% faster currency processing, the company states. Two fully-functional pockets allow financial institutions and armored carriers to process checks and cash without stopping for rejects or full pockets. This makes processing faster and easier, saving time and money.

Interfacing with the JetScan iFX i200 is Cummins Allison's Deposit Balancing Manager, a deposit preparation application that uses the CAR/LAR engine for precise check processing. Entire deposits, including checks, cash, and coin, can be totaled in minutes where previously it would take hours. Depositors then can send their check deposits electronically to their financial institution via an image cash letter. This gives them faster credit on their check deposits, extends deposit deadlines, and saves on deposit fees.
