Multipocket sorter promises 39% faster processing in 64% less space E-mail

Cummins-Allison introduced the JetScan iFX i400 multi-pocket sorter, configurable from three to nine pockets in the same compact space.

The JetScan iFX i400 uses imaging technology with high read rates while processing currency at 1,000 notes per minute, resulting in higher throughput at a 39% faster speed than the closest competitive unit, the company says.

From a base unit of three pockets, additional two-pocket modules can be added to create five-pocket, seven-pocket or nine-pocket systems, now or expandable in the future. The unique design can create up to nine pockets in a space-saving vertical configuration, effectively providing a high-volume, multipocket sorter in a footprint barely larger than a desktop sorter.

“This really opens up the possibilities where space is a premium in any number of applications,” says Curtis Hallowell, vice-president, Product Management at Cummins-Allison. “Bank branches can save thousands by recycling currency and processing large deposits or night drops.”

The JetScan iFX i400 is part of a family of JetScan iFX products that include advanced counterfeit detection, the ability to capture serial numbers from every note for tracking, and check and currency processing on the same machine.
