New check archive solution scans and stores 400 checks per minute E-mail

June 28, 2011

Cummins-Allison, a provider of coin and currency handling solutions, introduced a product useful for both banks and bank customers. The JetScan iFX i100, a desktop device that scans and digitally stores check images at a rate of 400 checks per minute, eliminates the need to copy and store physical checks.

The company said that organizations currently photocopying, microfilming, or using a desktop check imager can experience significant time savings with this technology—claiming that check images are scanned and digitally stored 100% faster than any other desktop device.

Capable of scanning business and personal checks, the i100 instantly transfers check images to an electronic database for easy recall. Check images are cataloged based on a variety of data points and MICR-line data. The i100 also comes standard with a currency scanning and counting feature at rate of 1,600 notes per minute.

The i100 is part of Cummins-Allison iFX document imaging platform, which features advanced currency and check processing capabilities.
