|Harland adds SMS and iPhone to its mobile capabilities|
Company's Cavion Mobile Banking Professional now supports SMS banking and an offers a module specifically for the iPhone to complement its internet mobile platform
Lake Mary, Florida (September 23, 2009) – Expanding upon its current mobile banking offerings, which consist of stand-alone and Internet banking-integrated retail and business solutions, Harland Financial Solutions today announced the release of Cavion® Mobile Banking SMS, as well as a mobile banking module optimized for the Apple® iPhone®. Cavion Mobile Banking SMS allows consumers to conduct account inquiries via text messaging by sending simple commands, such as “BAL” for balance. Cavion Mobile Banking SMS enables consumers to access account balances, history, rates, important information, news and tips for using the service. Cavion Mobile Banking SMS can be offered as a financial institution’s sole mobile banking platform or in conjunction with Cavion Mobile Banking Professional, Harland Financial Solutions’ full-featured mobile Internet banking platform. Also new to the Cavion Mobile Banking Professional solution is the ability for financial institutions to display their mobile banking screens in a format optimized for iPhones. While the iPhone has the ability to access and display a financial institution’s Web site and mobile banking pages, an iPhone-optimized display presents the pages in a more user-friendly format, minimizing the need to scroll in order to view an entire page’s content. “We continually seek to expand our mobile banking solutions in order to offer our financial institution partners more methods to provide convenience to their consumers, thereby strengthening relationships. We are proud of these new developments and the potential impact they will have for financial institutions and end-users,” said John Meyer, vice president and general manager, branch and electronic channels, Harland Financial Solutions.
